1-on-1 Mentorship

(01)

Project overview.

The 1-on-1 Robotics Mentorship program connects younger students with experienced FTC and FRC team members for personalized guidance in robotics, engineering fundamentals, and problem-solving. The goal is to support students not just technically, but also academically and personally as they navigate STEM for the first time.

Challenge.

Many students interested in robotics lack access to mentors who can provide consistent, individualized support. Large classrooms, limited school resources, and competition-focused environments often leave beginners feeling overwhelmed or discouraged.

(03)

Result.

Through direct mentorship, students gain confidence, foundational technical skills, and a clearer understanding of engineering pathways. Mentors also develop leadership and teaching experience, creating a sustainable cycle of learning within the robotics community.
